Personal

Ashley believes everyone should have a safe and healing place to work through life’s difficulties. She believes that each person has their own story that has shaped what they are currently experiencing. Through her empathy and warmth, she helps to create an environment where clients can tell their story, gain insight into how that has impacted them, and create a new/healthy reality that is more fulfilling which will allow them to move forward in their lives.

Ashley ensures that flexibility, meeting the individual/parents where they are, and having patience help each individual client to feel secure and comfortable through the therapeutic process. She enjoys working with children, adolescents, and teens, as well as working closely with their parents. She utilizes therapeutic approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy and trauma focused-cognitive behavioral therapy with familiarity in Trust-Based Relational Intervention.

Ashley enjoys spending time with family and friends, painting, relaxing with a good book, watching movies, antiquing, and trying new things.

Professional Disclosure Statement

I work with a wide population including, but not limited to, children (3 years old and up), adolescents, teens, young adults, parents, and individuals.  In 2019, I received my full licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor for the State of Texas. I have been blessed to be called into the helping profession.

As your counselor I am determined to create a caring and trustworthy environment that you can feel safe and comfortable in. I strive to empower you and assist you in expanding healthy awareness, rather than to give you advice. My responsibility as a counselor is not to provide answers but to support my clients on their own journey of discovery. I believe in being committed to identifying and exploring challenges that currently bring you to therapy along with the innate strengths and resources that will allow you to make the changes you desire. In assisting clients on their journey, I utilize approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), along with familiarity in Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI). These approaches look to help clients reorganize self-statements that will result in a corresponding reorganization of behaviors.  It is thought-focused and goal oriented.
