Bethany moved to DFW in 2015 to pursue her PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy. Before that she went to school in Abilene, Texas, and grew up in Colorado. She enjoys painting, reading, working out, and browsing Pinterest for new recipes.
Bethany’s heart finds its passion working with teenagers and their parents – either together or individually! She specializes in working with trauma survivorship; depression; and stage-of-life transition including seeking purposefulness, relationship concerns, and sexual identity. She also has experience working with coparenting, couples, families, and individuals.
Bethany believes the purpose of counseling is to find and live the best version of yourself! Bethany hopes to help achieve this by finding the behaviors that may have made sense at one time, but now are “out-of-date” solutions that seem to do more harm than good. In therapy we can bring these stressed, overworked parts of us some peace of mind using self-compassion, mindfulness, and solution-oriented focus.
