I became a mental health professional because I want to help people. I am truly passionate about empowering my clients to live happier, healthier lives. I believe in building a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients, through learning about their individual strengths, interests, and life experience. My goal is to provide my clients with the support they need in identifying ways to reach goals and overcome life’s many stressors. I have worked in various mental health settings, including inpatient and community outpatient environments. I enjoy working with people all ages, but have a true passion for working with the adolescent/teenage and early adulthood populations. I also enjoy working with couples on marital issues, communication issues, and reconnection. I have been trained in both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy. A few of my specialties include working with self-esteem issues, self-identification issues, healthy personal boundaries, and effective communication skills.
As the Director of Educational Services for Logos Counseling, I am honored to provide support in connecting our practice with the communities we serve. I assist in the process of creating, navigating, and providing trainings internally and externally for our practice. There is so much wonderful knowledge and important resource information regarding mental health, and I am so excited to be able to help in sharing that knowledge and information to other practitioners, parents, educators, and community members.
My self-care and favorite thing to do is to spend time with my husband and our two sons. I also really enjoy spending time with friends, practicing yoga, trying out new restaurants, and watching movies. My favorite quote is “The best and most beautiful things cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart.”
