Personal

During his education years at Texas Tech, Cole decided that he would follow the Lord’s calling for his life to become a counselor. Initially unsure of what he wanted to do in life, Cole realized after switching majors that he had a strong passion for helping others in need of help and a strong interest in psychology. Cole has work experience in different counseling settings. Cole has much experience in working with clients with anxiety and depression, but has experience in helping clients with a wide range of other issues as well. Cole takes an empathetic approach and works collaboratively with his clients in order to seek out solutions that will be most helpful for them.

Cole grew up out in rural areas in Eastern New Mexico and West Texas, but then eventually moved out to the Dallas/Fort Worth Area to attend Dallas Theological Seminary and move forward with his counseling career. Cole attends at a Non-Denominational Church, and he enjoys meeting with his small group. He is passionate about his faith and supporting and empowering those who feel powerless or stuck. He is sensitive to and respectful of those coming from all faiths. In his free time, Cole enjoys multiple forms of dancing, music, museums, Netflix shows, and casual conversations with friends.

Cole is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Dialectic Behavioral Therapy. He borrows concepts and techniques from other therapies as needed.
