Cynthia began her journey working with children and adolescents as a children’s director and youth director. It was during this time she felt the call to go back to school to pursue a career in counseling. During graduate school, she began working for a nonprofit agency in a youth shelter. Her passion for working with youth who have experienced trauma and been in foster care increased greatly during this time. She transitioned into a counseling role during her final year of grad school. She has gained experience working with children and teens who have experienced trauma, including physical and emotional abuse, neglect, and sexual abuse. She has worked with youth experiencing anxiety and depression, as well as families from domestic violence. She is looking forward to continuing her work with children, teens and families.

Cynthia is married to her amazing husband, Timothy. Together they enjoy raising their two sons, Dakota 20 and Matthew 17. They recently began a kinship placement and enjoy providing a safe place for her to grow and heal. They have a sweet Irishdoodle named Toby, who is definitely the most spoiled one in the home. As a family, they enjoy game night, vacations and outdoor activities. When she has time to herself, Cynthia enjoys reading, crafting, baking, and watching Hallmark movies. They are involved in their church, Compass North Ft Worth, and their faith is an important part of their lives.
