Erin is a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in Play Therapy and Expressive Arts for children and pre-adolescents with a variety of presenting concerns. Erin also works frequently with adolescents using art and sand tray interventions as well as adults utilizing CBT, person centered and traditional talk therapy. Erin earned her Master’s Degree in Counseling from the Texas Woman’s University where she studied Play Therapy and Expressive Arts

Erin’s experience expands across many areas which include working in a children’s hospital on an inpatient unit, working with children on the spectrum using ABA therapy and utilizing expressive arts and art therapy with children and adults. Using these interventions, she has been able to gain the experience and knowledge in treating clients who struggle with various issues such as trauma, divorce, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns and parent/child relationships.

Erin has a strong passion for guiding, supporting and interacting with young children. She feels that early intervention plays an integral part of their healthy development. Through the language of play, Erin provides them with a variety of tools and resources. She provides them opportunities for simulated real life experiences to explore in a non-judgmental environment, giving them the ability to express themselves freely and openly.

Additionally, as an adoptee, Erin has the unique ability to connect with children and adolescents who struggle with identity issues, helping them learn more about who they are as a person. She is committed to fostering individual ability and giving them the emotional support they need to encourage them during their journey of self-discovery.
