My philosophy of life and for living is ‘there is always hope and tranquility, if you can just give it a moment things will change.’ As a licensed and practicing therapist, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as my guiding theory, I believe that walking in a path of serene tranquility — when all seems lost – is one way to the road of recovery, rebirth, restoration, and rejuvenation. I specialize in and have worked with presenting concerns of depression; anxiety and panic attacks; mood disorders including bipolar, schizophrenia and psychosis; substance abuse; relationship concerns and issues as related to families: academia, social environments, and couples; self-harm; anger management; controlling mechanisms such as obsessive compulsive disorders, bullying, cyber-bullying, and harassment; developing self-confidence in coping with self-esteem and personal identity issues; and suicidal ideation. As we thrive to survive – hope, personal growth and development, and prosperity lends itself to one’s belief in self and personal worth. It is what helps us get through the most difficult and trying times.
As an experienced, caring, and concerned cognitive behavioral therapist, I focus on changing thought patterns with offering of other possible cognitions that become results-oriented through active behavioral responses. Your ability to survive and thrive is my motivation to building a counselor/client relationship built on warmth, empathy, and genuineness that will move towards a heart-healthy and mind-conscious state of being for living. I look forward to working with you; and, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your life journey.
When I am not working, I love nature (being in the outdoors, walking, and imagery); and, self-care that comes with loving others (as selfish as that may seem!), and working out at home and in the gym.
