My life has been a winding road of helping others through the avenues of education and ministry. After becoming a parent and adopting children through the Texas foster care system, I began developing the training and awareness to ignite a more specific passion to help others struggling through difficult situations in their lives and relationships. Having taught and counseled humans from infants all the way through their 90s, I see people through the whole spectrum of their life and treat each of my clients holisitically within the context of their own unique story.
Specific passions and focus areas of mine are: parenting, adoption/foster care, attachment, couples and families, anger and emotions management, trauma, PTSD, and spirituality. I have an eclectic holistic person-centered approach rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy. Simply, I listen, reflect, and help you discover what you already know, or heal in a safe place. I am a soft, gentle personality with an occasional competitive side.
When I am not working, I love reading, spending time with my wife, playing with my kids, spending time with friends, doing nearly anything in nature, and anything involving football and/or chips and salsa.
