I have always felt a connection to those who are struggling. My greatest joy comes after the small talk has been done, and the real issues of life begin to emerge and to be discussed and worked through. I believe that we are not defined by our past or present struggles – my goal is to create a safe and trusted space as we work together to unpack your burdens.
As a certified trauma professional (CTP) two of my areas of focus include trauma & PTSD. My other areas of focus include depression, anxiety, spirituality/faith, communication, and men’s issues. I believe the therapy process may look different for everyone. My approach to counseling incorporates cognitive-behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, and internal family systems (IFS). These theories of counseling are not explicitly faith-based however I am comfortable with integrating faith into your counseling if that is something you are looking for.
When I’m not working or studying, you can find me riding my bike along the Trinity River, scoping out the newest coffee shop, or spending quality time with friends.
